Wow, what a past week it’s been, we were lucky enough to be able to cater for a High Tea event for a fantastic charity – Caring for Carers Australia before lockdown took place.
This event took place on 22nd June 2021, seeing 160 guests welcomed by the charity organisers into Venue 114, a great place situated in Bokarina, Sunshine Coast.
I had the pleasure of catering for this event and getting the opportunity to showcase my baked goods and savoury dishes. With lots of lovely dishes to choose from for Meat eaters, Vegetarians, Vegans, Diabetic, Gluten Free and Dairy free. I am grateful for the outstanding feedback and it really was my pleasure being able to be part of this extraordinary charity event.
Caring for Carers Australia (CCA)
CCA is a not-for-profit organisation that honour and acknowledge the hard work and commitment in caring for their loved ones. The organisation helps people in many different aspects from support to workshops and retreats to carer programs. The need for carers is increasing with one in eight people in Australia caring for a loved one due to age, chronic illness or disabilities. This will continue to increase over the years. CCA are there to support these often-unpaid carers and help them with all the support and respite they need.

High Tea Event
The high tea event takes place a few times a year, giving the carers an opportunity to enjoy a social event. Where they can mix with fellow carers, eat delicious food and listen to some great speakers. This event is thoroughly enjoyed by all carers.
Having the honour of being able to cater for this event was wonderful, I am very touched to be part of this special day. I spent many days in my kitchen creating lots of wonderful cakes, sweet and savoury dishes plus 160 With Style Cookies to go into their goodie bags that each guest took home.
